Making a surprising revelation during our talk, he shared that he hasn’t experienced anger in over 15 years. Let’s explore the insights from our delightful brunch and Piyush’s unique perspective on life.
Piyush Mishra Reveals Why He Doesn’t Get Angry
During our brunch, Kamiya Jani posed an intriguing question to Piyush about what brings him happiness and what makes him angry. To everyone’s surprise, he stated he hasn’t felt anger in over 15 years! When asked if his son had ever witnessed him angry, the answer was a quick and firm no. Piyush reflected on how his relationship with anger transformed when he began practicing Vipassana meditation.
He recounted that he started embracing Vipassana 15 years ago, a journey that has evidently influenced his demeanor. When Kamiya expressed shock about such a profound shift, Piyush explained how he deals with situations that don’t unfold as he wishes. “Acceptance is a big thing,” he emphasized, asserting that accepting both people and circumstances—including death—plays a crucial role in navigating life. For him, understanding that death is inevitable allows him to approach life with a sense of peace rather than anger.

What Was On The Menu?
Our brunch featured a delightful spread of traditional South Indian cuisine. Piyush’s wife, Priya, served the meal on a banana leaf, a practice that added warmth and authenticity to our dining experience. The meal included a variety of dishes: salt, pickle, raw banana, grated carrot salad, aloo sabzi, pumpkin raita, chicken, sambar, rice drizzled with ghee, paratha, papad, and green chilies. The culinary inspirations were rooted in Chettinad cuisine, known for its rich flavors and aromatic spices.
Priya revealed that Piyush prefers simple, hearty meals, and his favorites are sambar rice and aloo sabzi. Coming together over sambar rice, both started the meal with joyfully shared morsels, transforming the brunch into a delightful culinary adventure.
