The ongoing d4vd investigation has captivated pop culture enthusiasts and true crime aficionados alike in 2025. With shocking twists and a cloud of uncertainty surrounding the case, the story only deepens. Los Angeles police have yet to name any suspects or determine Celeste Rivas’ cause of death. Investigators discovered the teenager’s body in a Tesla that is registered under the name of singer d4vd, leading to swirling speculation and myriad theories about their relationship.
Adding another layer to this unfolding drama, as reported by Complex, private investigator Steve Fischer has stepped in to uncover the truth. Hired by the owner of the Hollywood Hills home where d4vd stayed before his tour, Fischer’s involvement has generated interest, especially considering the timeline coincides with the discovery of Rivas’ body. The house was rented by d4vd’s manager at Interscope Records, making the inquiry even more compelling.
Fischer explained, “[The owner] wants to understand exactly what may have happened and if his house played a role in any way.” This laser focus on the circumstances suggests that authorities are likely leaning toward toxicology reports to unravel what transpired, with the unsettling possibility of an accidental overdose and a subsequent poorly made decision.

In his exploration, Fischer asserted that the last confirmed sighting of Celeste Rivas was on January 2. This crucial detail, coupled with the surveillance footage and online records he analyzed, helps to establish a preliminary timeline related to the Tesla. Fischer noted that the car had been parked in various locations within the neighborhood starting from May, eventually settling in its last known spot on Bluebird Avenue around July 29, coinciding with d4vd’s departure for his tour.
Following the discovery of Rivas’ body in a tow yard, the L.A. County Coroner’s Office speculated that her remains may have been in the vehicle for weeks. Adding complexity to the case, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Rivas had a history of going missing, having vanished three times in 2024 according to reported accounts.
