    RICHMOND, Va. (November 17, 2025) – CAA Football has announced its weekly award winners for Week 12 of the 2025 season, showcasing some impressive performances across the league.

    Offensive Player of the Week
    Frankie Weaver, Fr., QB, Monmouth (New Market, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel)

    Freshman quarterback Frankie Weaver put on a dazzling display in Monmouth’s 63-19 victory over North Carolina A&T, earning the title of Offensive Player of the Week. Weaver completed 19-of-28 passes for a career-high 428 yards, matching the school record with six touchdown passes. This performance ranks as the 10th-highest in FCS this season for yards thrown, while his six touchdowns tie for the second-most. Weaver’s highlights included five throws of 26 yards or more, with touchdown strikes of 62, 53, and 71 yards, contributing to Monmouth’s record-setting offensive output of 696 total yards.

    Defensive Player of the Week
    Shane Hartzell, Sr., LB, Villanova (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge)

    On the defensive side, Villanova linebacker Shane Hartzell earned recognition for his outstanding defensive skills, leading his team to a thrilling 30-27 overtime win against Stony Brook. Hartzell amassed a team-high 10 tackles, which included 2.5 tackles for loss and half a sack. Demonstrating his prowess, eight of his tackles were solo efforts, marking the 10th time in his career he has reached double-digit tackles in a game. With 65 total tackles and 12 tackles for loss this season, Hartzell played a crucial role in limiting Stony Brook to just 76 yards rushing.

    Special Teams Player of the Week
    Andrew Brown, Sr., PK, North Carolina A&T (Lexington, N.C./West Davidson)

    Andrew Brown, a senior kicker from North Carolina A&T, made history this week by becoming the first player in CAA history to kick three field goals of 53 yards or more in a single game. In his performance against Monmouth, Brown went 4-for-4 on field goals, starting with a 31-yard kick in the first quarter before nailing 55-, 53-, and 53-yard attempts. As A&T’s all-time leader in field goals, Brown continues to shine this season, making 14-of-17 attempts, including a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond 50 yards.

    Rookie of the Week
    Landen Clark, Fr., QB, Elon (Radford, Va./Radford)

    Elon’s freshman quarterback Landen Clark also showed remarkable talent this week, accounting for 287 yards of total offense in a comeback victory against Campbell, winning 31-24. Clark completed 13-of-28 passes for 228 yards and threw two crucial touchdowns, highlighted by a game-winning 96-yard strike to Isaiah Fuhrmann with just over a minute left, which not only secured the win but also tied a school record. Furthermore, Clark showcased his versatility by contributing on the ground with 59 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, including a critical game-tying 19-yard touchdown run.
